New [Ba(Indo)2(H2O)4]complexwasstudied using elemental analysis, spectroscopic measurements (infrared, 1H-NMR and
electronic). Elemental analysis of the chelates suggests the stoichiometry is 1:2 (metal-ligand). Infrared spectra of this
complex agree with the coordination to the central metal atom through the carboxylate group as monodentate fashion. The
TGA/DTG analyses of Ba(II) complex was performed. The Ba(II) complex has been screened in vitro against antimicrobial
