need for safe, effective, and affordable therapeutic interventions. This study was designed to investigate the multifaceted
antidiabetic and organ-protective potential of an ethanol extract of Indigoferaastragalina (EEIA) in a Streptozotocin (STZ)-
Nicotinamide (NIC)-induced T2DM rat model. The methodology included a comprehensive phytochemical analysis of the
extract, an acute oral toxicity study, and a 15-day in vivo assessment of its effects on various metabolic and histopathological
parameters. Wistar rats were divided into a normal control group, a diabetic control group, two EEIA treatment groups (250 and
500 mg/kg), and a standard drug group (glibenclamide, 0.25 mg/kg). Phytochemical screening of the EEIA confirmed the
presence of a diverse range of bioactive compounds, including glycosides, flavonoids, alkaloids, terpenoids, and tannins. A
critical finding from the histopathological analysis of the pancreas was the observed dose-dependent regenerative effect on the
pancreatic islets. In conclusion, the findings of this study provide robust scientific validation for the traditional use of
Indigoferaastragalina and underscore its promise as a multi-targeted therapeutic agent for the comprehensive management of
