(TILIACEAE)</JournalTitle>
The aim of present study was to estimate the Antioxidant activity of methanol extract of the inner bark of Grewia
asiatica L. (Tiliaceae) was assessed by using 2,2- diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH•) assay and reducing power activity.
Here, ascorbic acid was used as standard antioxidant. The results of the study indicate that the methanolic extracts of of the
inner bark of Grewia asiatica L. possess significant scavenging activity against DPPH• and reducing power activity. The free
radical scavenging and antioxidant activities may be attributed to the presence of adequate flavonoid compounds in methanol
extract of the inner bark of Grewia asiatica L. (Tiliaceae). This study revealed that the methanolic extract of methanol extract
of the inner bark of Grewia asiatica L. (Tiliaceae) has demonstrated significant antioxidant activity.
<Email>mbharath4321@gmail.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>7</volume><issue>1</issue><year>2017</year><keyword>DPPH assay,Reducing power activity,Grewia asiatica L</keyword><AUTHORS>M.
